Halo: Combat Evolved
When you start a new game in Halo a short movie will appear. Then the player takes the role as Masterchief and he has to get himself and Cortana(an A.I. construct) off the Pillar of Autumn. They have ti get off because their ship is being invaded by the Covenant. Once in the escape pod, another short movie appears and when the escape pod crashes only the Masterchief and Cortana are alive. The Masterchief has to then make his way to a structure containing human survivors. He helps them get onto a dropship before he and two more marines get into a Warthog. After navigating through a series of tunnels and saving some more human survivors, the Masterchief and Cortana get into a dropship and are transported with some Marines to a covenant ship. After getting aboard they save Captain Keyes and a few other humans then they leave in a covenant dropship. Then the Masterchief is transported to an island so he could find the map room to Halo. After fighting their way into the map room they escape and are dropped below ground. The Masterchief then navigates through more tunnels (which get quite repetitive) until he is outside and it is snowing. He jumps in a Warthog and drives until he finds a tank. There he drives the tank until his path is blocked and he has to walk. He has to walk through some more tunnels until he finally puts Cortana into the Control Room. While searching for Captain Keyes he finds the Flood and has to one out of the underground structure. Then the Masterchief meets 343 Guilty Spark who makes him retrieve the Index which would kill the Flood(and all sentient life in the galaxy, but the Masterchief doesn't know that). After finding out Cortana and the Masterchief have to destroy Halo. But 343 Guilty Spark stops them from destroying Halo so the Masterchief has to make the engines of the Pillar of Autumn explode and then he escapes with a Warthog travelling through a series of tunnels. Then he makes it to a fighter ship and flies into space alone with Cortana. As they look back at the Halo Cortana informs Masterchief that they are the only ones who survived the explosion. Then the game is over. |
